AbstractObjective To analyze the risk factors for ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome ( OHSS )inassisted reproductive technology( AR'T)and observe the elfectiveness of acupuncture intervention.Methods 123 infertile patients who underwent AR'T treatment were selected, 70 cases without OHSS wereincluded in the control group, and 53 cases with OHSS were included in the combined group. The riskfactors of AR'T were analyzed, and the elfect of acupuncture intervention was observed. Results Age , BMl.FSH, LH, AMH, trigger day E,, AFC, initial dose of Gn, total dose of Gn, and Gn days were independent factors affecting the occurrenee of OHSS in AR'T treatment for infertile patients. Age<28 yearsold, BMI<20 kg/m’, LH baseline value ≥5 mlU/mL, AMH≥4 ng/mL, AFC>20, Gn initial dosage>200 lU, Gn total dosage>3 000 lU, Gn time>10 d, trigger day E,level>4 000 pg/ml, are risk factors forOHSS during AR'T in infertile patients. After acupuncture intervention , the LH, AMH and whole embryofreezing rate of OHSS patients were lower than that before intervention, and the number of eggs obtainedwas higher than that before intervention ( P<0.05 ). Conclusion Young age, low BMl index, high LH andAMH levels, high AFC , high Gn dosage, long duration, and high E, levels on trigger day are risk factorsfor OHSS during ART. Aeupuneture intervention can reduce sexual hormone levels and OHSS wholeembryo cryopreservation rate in patients with OHSS, and increase the number of retrieved eggs.Keywords: assisted reproductive technology;ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome; sexual hormones;gonadotropin ;risk factors: acupuncture intervention
