AbstractObjective 'To analyze the correlation and diagnostic value between serum procalcitonin ( PCT) , monoeytechemotactic protein-1 ( MCP-1 ), and the severity of neonatal bacterial sepsis. Methods 100 neonates with bacterialsepsis were selected as the study group, and 100 neonates with common bacterial infections during the same periodserved as the control group. The serum PCT levels, MCP-1 levels, $OFA seores, and PCIS seores of two groups atenrollment were compared. and analyzed the correlation between serum PCT' and MCp-l levels and the severity of neonatal bacterial sepsis( $OFA score , PClS score ) were compared, The value of combined detection of serum PCTand MCP-1 levels in the diagnosis of neonatal bacterial sepsis were analyzed. Results When enrolled, the serumlevels of PC'T, MCP-1, and SOFA in the study group were higher than those in the control group, while the PClSscore was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference( P<0.05 ). The levels ofserum PC'T and MCp-1 were positively correlated with SOFA score, but negatively correlated with PCIS score( P<0.05 ).The area under the ROC curve( AUC ) of the combined diagnosis of serum PCT and MCP-1 levels for neonatalbacterial sepsis was greater than that of single indicator diagnosis( P<0.05 ). Conclusion The serum levels of PCland MCP.1 are closely related to the severity of neonatal bacterial sepsis, and their combined detection has higldiagnostic value for neonatal bacterial sepsis.
